BGCA New Portal Launch

Before switching to a new intranet portal called MyClubHub, Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) needed the directors of their 800 clubs (called CEOs) to purge thousands of superfluous profiles. CEOs were already stretched with demands on their time.

Process: Creative Outhouse interviewed CEOs and support staff to learn about their challenges and created  messaging that would motivate CEOs to take immediate action. Then we developed a program, including a program name, iconography, instructional infographics, digital banners, takeover pages, emails, PowerPoint templates, talking points, intro and instructional videos and a promotion. We even advised their tech team about creating a tool that would make the task easier.

Results: For similar asks, the organization was used to 5% participation. In just three weeks, 490 of the 800 CEOs had cleaned up nearly 18,000 profiles under the new system.

BGCA New Systemwide Tech Launch

After several years in development, BGCA was ready to launch the Salesforce-based MyClubHub management system

This was the organization’s first all- encompassing centralized system designed to streamline and improve registration, attendance, collecting fees and managing sports programs; improve parental access to information and give club directors more data when approaching donors.

There were a few bumps in the road in developing MyClubHub and, as with many “hub and spoke” type organizations, local clubs were hesitant to entrust many of these responsibilities and technology to the national office over their own local system.

Creative Outhouse was brought in to help launch the system to directors and motivate them to sign up for training.  We developed communication that was based on the insights we gained in our internal interviews. Our campaign addressed previous challenges and won trust by creating a feeling of transparency. This helped grow trust in the national organizations system.
